After the Ultimate Reset

I weighed myself this morning, worried that maybe the Ultimate Reset was too good to be true and now that I am finished and off the supplements, I will gain the weight back.  I held my breath as I stepped on the scale.  194.8.  I had lost nearly another pound since finishing the Reset.  I was elated.

Yesterday was the first time I have exercised in over 10 months (exercise is not recommended while on the Reset).  I went to the gym at our apartment complex and ran on the treadmill.  2 miles in 30 minutes.    I am definitely out of shape, but I was proud of myself for going and for finishing the 30 minutes even though my legs felt like lead and I was so tired.  I did it again today and finished 2 miles in 29 minutes. I keep reminding myself that I need to start somewhere.

Things I learned at the gym yesterday:

I cannot wear shorts that are too big for me.  I spent the whole time running trying to hold them up so I didn't show the rest of the very crowded gym my granny panties!

Watching other people work out does not help distract you.  It does however end up with you trying to surpress fits of laughter until you think about what you must look like panting like a dying hippo.

After breastfeeding a baby, a supportive sports bra is sadly NECESSARY.

I ordered my Insanity by Beachbody yesterday and I can't wait to get it so I can start hard core working out.  I decided to try Insanity first because you don't need any equipment and will be perfect for me to do while the baby naps.  In the meantime I will continue the running, and I will run 3 times a week in addition to Insanity when it comes in the mail!

I am going to weigh myself in every week and report it on the blog for accountability purposes.  Stay tuned!
